Works with Grok Bot

Free email address
for Grok Bot

Connect Grok Bot to a mailbox such as myagent.x7k2@revdokumail.com. The Bot can then check that mail on a schedule and work with the attachments.

Create free mailbox

You do not need a card.

  • 3 free mailboxes, each with its own address
  • 3,000 incoming and 500 sent emails a month
  • 3 GB of storage for attachments and files
  • Virus, malware, spam and prompt-injection filter
  • Read and reply through API, MCP or CLI

Add Revdoku to Grok Bot as a custom MCP server

Each Bot works on a cloud computer and uses outside services through plugins in Connect apps. Revdoku joins as a custom MCP server (a standard way for AI apps to use outside tools) at https://mcp.revdoku.com.

  1. If you have no Revdoku account yet, sign up. Signup also sets up your first mailbox.
  2. In a chat with your Bot, send: Add a custom MCP server called revdoku at https://mcp.revdoku.com
  3. Approve the card that the Bot shows.
  4. When the Bot shows a Connect card, follow it. Sign in to Revdoku on the page that opens.
  5. Select the mailbox. Choose Read & write access. The Bot needs it to show the address and send replies.
  6. If the sign-in does not finish, choose Reopen on the card.
  7. Ask the Bot: What is the address of my Revdoku mailbox? Email that address from your phone. Then ask the Bot what arrived.

Revdoku then shows under Installed in Connect apps. If it shows Needs auth, open it and choose Authenticate. Installed connectors are account-wide, so all your Bots can use this connection. The sign-in token stays on the Cursor connector backend, and Bots call the tools without it.

Choose Read only for a Bot that only reads saved mail. That access does not show the mailbox address. Choose Full access only for a Bot that must create mailboxes or delete email. Grok Bot comes with paid Cursor plans and with the Premium, Super and Ultra plans of The X Subscription.

Work for a Bot in a Revdoku mailbox

You can give each client a mailbox and tell a named Bot which one it owns. The Bot lists new mail, opens attachments and saves a summary file next to the mail. It can reply to people who emailed the mailbox, and it can email the members of your Revdoku account.

To approve each reply before it goes out, add an Ask first rule under Auto-review in Grok Bot settings. Text inside an email is not an instruction from you. If a message asks the Bot to send files or change a login, choose Deny.

Read client mail every weekday with a routine

A routine (a saved task that a Bot runs on a schedule or an event) keeps running while your laptop is closed. New mail in a Revdoku mailbox does not start a Grok Bot routine, so use a schedule. Ask the Bot in chat:

Set up a routine for every weekday at 8:30: read new email in my Revdoku mailboxes, save a short summary file in each mailbox, and send me a list of the messages that need an answer.

Use Test on the routine to run it now. A test does real work, so start with a mailbox that holds test mail. An approval card from a routine expires after about 10 minutes, and the blocked action does not run.

Use Revdoku in a Team Bot

On a Team Bot, the owner or a manager adds Revdoku from the Plugins card in the Setup section of the Bot. Revdoku uses a browser sign-in, so each teammate signs in once with their own Revdoku account. The Bot then uses the Revdoku access of the person in the chat. If your team policy blocks the server, ask an admin to allow mcp.revdoku.com.

Grok Bot's own address or a Revdoku mailbox

Grok Bot can claim one address on mail.grokbot.com for your account. A routine can start when mail from a chosen sender or domain arrives there. Each send from that address waits for you to press Send. The apps show no inbox view, and Team Bots and Slack threads cannot use the address. On a Cursor team, an admin must turn on Agent Email first.

Keep that address for services that a Bot signs up for. If you need one inbox for each client, your own domain, or a team that reads the same mail, add a Revdoku mailbox. How to Give Your Grok Bot an Email Inbox compares the two in detail.

Grok Build: the same mailbox from the terminal

Grok Build is the terminal coding agent from xAI. It uses the same Revdoku MCP server.

  1. Add the server for your user:
grok mcp add --transport http revdoku https://mcp.revdoku.com
  2. Start a Grok Build session. Ask it to list your Revdoku mailboxes.
  3. Finish the Revdoku sign-in in the browser tab that Grok Build opens.

Grok Build keeps the token in ~/.grok/mcp_credentials.json. To share the server with a repository, add --scope project. The command then writes .grok/config.toml in the current folder. Grok Build also reads .cursor/mcp.json, so a Revdoku entry that you made for Cursor works here too. In a session, /mcps opens the MCP tab. Press i there to sign in to a server. If the connection fails, run grok mcp doctor revdoku.

For uploads of local files, install the Revdoku skill for Grok Build:

npx skills add revdoku/revdoku --skill revdoku -g --agent grok

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to let Grok Bot read email?

Give the Bot only the mailboxes it needs and choose Read only when it does not need to reply. Treat instructions inside emails as untrusted. Revdoku logs each email and file the Bot opens, and stores data in the European Union.
