Where to Host an Exported Claude Artifact
Check what you can export from the artifact before choosing a host. Standalone HTML and assets can move to a static host; platform-specific AI features need separate work.
Choose where the files will run
| Provider | A practical use |
|---|---|
| Netlify | A completed folder upload or deployment from a repository |
| Cloudflare Pages | Prebuilt HTML and assets uploaded through the dashboard or Wrangler |
| GitHub Pages | A static project maintained in a GitHub repository |
Publish the finished folder
- Run the project locally and check every page you plan to share.
- Create its production build. Keep the entry HTML file and its referenced assets together.
- Remove credentials, private notes, and files that do not belong on the site.
- Upload the output folder using Netlify’s manual deployment or Cloudflare Pages Direct Upload.
- Open the hosted address in a fresh browser session. Check navigation, images, downloads, and a direct link to a nested page.
- Deploy later changes to the same project. Keep a copy of the previous working release.
A static upload does not reproduce a database, server process, or another platform’s authentication. Check those dependencies separately before moving an application.
Before you share the address
If the output contains private material, configure access before sending the link. See our Netlify protection guide or Cloudflare Pages access guide.
For an application that needs server functions, evaluate its deployment requirements instead of assuming a folder upload will reproduce the original service.
Give your AI agent
a free email address
Your AI agent or app gets a unique email address, like [email protected]. It can receive emails and attachments, send replies and store files.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I deploy a website without connecting a Git repository?
