# Revdoku CLI

The `revdoku` command reads email and attachments, replies to senders and uploads files from your terminal. AI agents can run it too.

You need: macOS or Linux with `bash` and `curl`, a browser to sign in, and a Revdoku account: [create a free mailbox](https://app.revdoku.com/users/sign_up?utm_source=revdoku.com&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=cli). You do not need a card.

## 1. Install

Run this command:

```sh
curl -fsSL https://revdoku.com/install.sh | bash
```

The installer puts the command in `~/.revdoku/bin/revdoku`. It also installs the Revdoku skill for the AI agents that it finds on your computer.

## 2. Add the command to your PATH

Add this line to your shell profile, for example `~/.zshrc` or `~/.bashrc`. Then open a new terminal.

```sh
export PATH="$HOME/.revdoku/bin:$PATH"
```

## 3. Sign in

Run any command. The first time, the CLI opens Revdoku in your browser. Sign in and choose the account and the mailboxes.

```sh
revdoku accounts
```

## 4. Read your email

List the emails in a mailbox. Mailbox IDs start with `bkt_`.

```sh
revdoku emails --mailbox-id MAILBOX_ID
```

## Common commands

| Read one email | `revdoku email EMAIL_ID --mailbox-id ID` |
| Download an attachment | `revdoku email-download EMAIL_ID --attachment-id ID --mailbox-id ID` |
| Reply to the sender | `revdoku email-send --in-reply-to EMAIL_ID --text TEXT --mailbox-id ID` |
| Upload a folder | `revdoku upload ./project-files` |
| List files | `revdoku files --mailbox-id ID` |
| Show your plan limits | `revdoku account limits` |

## Installed the skill with npx?

`npx skills add revdoku/revdoku --skill revdoku -g` installs the skill for your AI agents, but it does not add `revdoku` to your PATH. Your agent runs the bundled `scripts/revdoku.sh` from the skill folder instead. To use the command yourself, run the installer above. See [Install the Revdoku skill](/skills/).
